In 2018, Joyce and Anthony Valente established the Frankie Valente Scholarship Fund to keep their son's memory and passion alive. Frankie, who was an EMR, lost his life while serving others, but his parents guaranteed that his legacy lives on through this scholarship.
The Fund offers financial support for students in the emergency care field who share Frankie's passion for helping and serving their community. The emergency care field is already demanding and complex, so students shouldn't have to worry about financial burdens.
The Fund seeks to help as many students as possible, valuing their sacrifice and dedication by making their lives a little easier.
So far, the Fund has awarded over 200 scholarships to aspiring EMTs and emergency health care providers. The scholarships cover everything from tuition, exam fees, uniforms, and supplies.
Scholarships are securely managed through a partnership with Lake Tech and Monroe Community College. This ensures the students in need get the resources they need and deserve.
The Fund has already received praise and support from high-profile individuals that believe in the mission at hand.
Rooted in the value of supporting the community to build a better future, the Fund aims to become a national sponsor for as many students as possible.
With each scholarship awarded, the Fund honors Frankie's dedication to helping others and invests in the next generation of individuals dedicated to making a positive impact.
