The Story of the South Lake Chamber

The South Lake Chamber has a rich history that dates back to the early days of the City of Clermont. Originally known as the Board of Trade, the organization was made up of local citizens who took charge of city improvements such as road repairs and raising funds for a fire truck. In 1922, the Board of Trade was absorbed into the newly-formed Clermont Chamber of Commerce, which elected Dr. Arthur L. Izlar as its first president.

Today, the South Lake Chamber of Commerce is the collective voice of the business community in the cities of Clermont, Groveland, Mascotte, Minneola, Montverde, and the Four Corners area.

Formed in 1996, the Chamber provides a platform for local businesses to connect, grow, and give back to the community.
